How Synchrony can help your organization...

Substance abuse, emotional, marital, family and other
related problems affect job performance, employee health,
and the quality of life. Organizational impact includes:
- Excessive absenteeism and tardiness
- Accidents both on and off the job
- Increased health benefit claims
- Work group conflict
- Overall lower productivity
- Violence in the workplace
Such problems are resolvable and the legitimate concern
for employers. Productivity improves when problems are
identified early and treated. EAP serves as a valuable
resource offering responsible intervention services for
employees, covered family members, and the organization.

Employee
Services
|
Assessment - Your employees and their family members
can receive a thorough evaluation from a licensed or
certified professional regarding personal problems
Short-Term Individual and Family Counseling - When
short-term counseling is warranted, counselors can work
with the employee and their family members for up to six
counseling sessions.
Referral - When a referral is needed, Synchrony staff
will act as a case manager, making an appropriate
referral, assisting with insurance
pre-authorization (when needed), and following
up with the employee to ensure that the referral
was successful. Synchrony has a large database
of providers, support groups, and
other useful services.
Resource Materials - Synchrony has a wealth of
educational literature and bibliography information to
share with employees and family members. |

Organizational
Services
|
Synchrony is different than many employee assistance
programs. We view the organization, not just individual
employees, as our customers. This translates into
supervisory coaching and consultation as well as
assistance in change management efforts, group
facilitation, and team building. |

Program
Implementation
|
Starting your EAP is easy:
- Meeting with employees - we will meet with employees to
give them a brief orientation to our services.
- Supervisory training - outlines how to recognize and
deal with poor performance in the workplace and how to
utilize the EAP when dealing with problem employees.
- Ongoing promotion - we will provide posters, flyers,
and a quarterly newsletter to HR staff that includes the
schedule of our supervisory training sessions.
